Onmyou Taisenki

The Onmyou Taisenki manga presents a different timeline than the anime, set years earlier. Yakumo is the son of Monju, the head priest of the Taihaku Shrine, where Mahoroba, Monju's former teacher, is held captive. Conflict begins when Mahoroba breaks free, gains strength, and turns Monju into stone. The narrative follows Yakumo as he begins using a Shikigami and trains with Izuna, the shrine's miko. He travels through various points in Japanese history in search of Mahoroba. The manga includes appearances by notable historical figures like Oda Nobunaga.
