A demon named Anzam Nia, who has failed to collect any souls, is expelled from the demon world and sent to Earth. In Japan, he encounters a young girl who believes he is an angel and asks him to fulfill her wish by forming a contract with her, unaware that doing so will cost her life. Anzam agrees, and her wish is for them to marry. The two begin a marriage despite their differences in species, age, and character.
