Hananosuke Yamase is a manga editor whose track record contains no hits at all, and his patience with Megumi Kojika, the gifted artist he has been nurturing, is wearing thin. The trouble is not her work but her hands, which end up on him every time they sit down to review storyboards. One evening the flirting goes far enough that he brings her home, and only then does the truth about her surface: the woman he has been assigned to is a beautiful ex-convict who once killed someone.
