A sixth-grade student named Azuki An dreams of having a toy poodle. After encountering an adorable apricot-colored one, she becomes enamored with it. As An begins caring for the dog, she discovers that pet ownership is more challenging than she initially believed. The story also includes a separate one-shot titled "365-nichi no Omochabako."
