In a world where women have supernatural abilities called "Heavenly Gifts" and men are marginalized, Ibuki is a male rookie in the organization "Pact of Salvation" who possesses the "Separation" Gift. He is a reincarnated soul from the world of his favorite manga. He admires Hinata, a member of the opposing "Scales of Justice." He alternates between being her supportive childhood friend and her rival in battle, enjoying the conflict as a personal "fandom battle." However, events begin to deviate from what he remembers from the manga.
