Ouhi Berta no Shouzou

Berta is betrothed in an arranged marriage to become the King's second wife. The royal family prioritizes bloodline purity through generations of intermarriage, leading to a weakened kingdom. To strengthen their rule, they choose a bride from the majority ethnic group, long seen as subordinates on the frontier. Berta, the eldest daughter of a powerful local lord, is selected. Her new life is difficult—her husband is indifferent, the Queen despises her, and she must carry out her duties regardless.
