Heather, the daughter of a senator, was involved with Joey, the most attractive student at their high school. Their romance ended after her parents learned of her unplanned pregnancy. As adults, both are now in new relationships, still affected by the pain of their past connection. Heather is surprised to learn that Joey has become a successful actor and recently received an Oscar. During his acceptance speech, Joey publicly expresses that he has not forgotten her.
