Following the Ikedaya Incident, which ended the anti-shogunate rebellion and established the Shinsengumi as Kyoto's official police force, three months have passed. Now recognized as the city's top peacekeeping unit, the Shinsengumi faces a new and unforeseen danger. This threat cannot be overcome with swords alone, requiring the group to adapt to survive and maintain order in Kyoto.
