Pied Piper

A mysterious woman with a lute and a cloak appears in a town plagued by an overwhelming number of rats. Using her instrument, she plays a melody that draws the rodents toward her, leading them away from the town. The townspeople, initially relieved, soon realize that the woman has not removed the rats entirely but has instead taken them elsewhere. As she prepares to leave, she demands payment for her service, but the townspeople refuse, claiming they never agreed to compensate her. In response, she plays another tune, this time luring the children of the town to follow her, vanishing with them into the hills. The story ends with the town left in silence, the fate of the children unknown.
