Ruby is a receptionist in the English countryside when a prince from Najar, named Raja, arrives to propose a political marriage. His mission is to bring her back as the only heir of Ashur, due to a new peace treaty. Ruby refuses, fearing a fate like her mother's, who endured hardship as the ex-wife of Ashur's king. Instead of anger, Raja reacts with a mysterious, dark smile.
