Strange destruction and an ominous fog begin affecting the town, trapping its residents. Tonio, Gowdy's grandson, identifies these events as described in his grandfather's diary, which warns of a conflict between the legendary Pokémon Dialga and Darkrai threatening space and time. The group must find a way to protect Alamos Town from this danger.
