Ruby and Sapphire are on separate missions in the Hoenn region, with Ruby aiming to defeat all the Gyms and Sapphire seeking to win every Pokémon Contest, both within 80 days. Their plans are disrupted by the emergence of two opposing criminal groups: Team Magma, focused on land, and Team Aqua, dedicated to the sea. In addition to these external threats, Ruby and Sapphire must also navigate the growing emotions between them.
