Poppoya Love Letter

A station master in a remote Hokkaido village faces the closure of his small train station, prompting him to reflect on his career and personal sacrifices after a chance encounter with a young girl during his final winter there. Separately, a recently released prisoner is informed of his estranged wife's death and travels to collect her body, initially indifferent to the situation. As he reads a letter she left behind, he learns about her genuine kindness and unfulfilled dreams, revealing a deeper side to their brief and complicated marriage.
