Project X: Challengers - Seven Eleven·プロジェクトX 挑戦者たち 日米逆転!コンビニを作った素人たち―セブン‐イレブンの流通革命
In the Japanese retail scene dominated by large stores, Toshifumi Suzuki and Hideo Shimizu encountered the American concept of a convenience store known as Seven Eleven. Seeing potential for success in Japan, they formed a project team of fifteen inexperienced retail members to introduce the idea. Kenji Yamamoto, a young store owner, committed to transforming his family's liquor shop into Japan's first Seven Eleven. The project faced challenges such as difficult negotiations, the oil crisis, and limited space. Through determination and creative solutions, the team overcame these obstacles, sparking a major shift in the retail industry.
