Asuma Eiji possesses the ability to psychometrically sense the past by touching people or objects, seeing images and words from their history. Though he is mostly a truant high school student who spends time with friends and avoids schoolwork, his talent has drawn the attention of police inspector Shima Ryoko, who frequently enlists him to assist with challenging investigations. A serial killer is currently active in the city, having claimed six victims—each a young woman whose body is twisted into unusual positions and marked with spray paint. Ryoko seeks Eiji's help to uncover the killer's identity and stop the murders.
