Zhang Qilin, feared as "the devil" by his enemies, spent 13 years as a battle-hardened commander of the Red Dragon Cavalry. After retiring, he seeks a quiet existence and buys The Stormy Inn on the dangerous Gold Line Road, a property in poor condition. He gathers a group of misfits to help manage the inn, but faces competition from other inns that actively work to undermine his efforts. His dream of a simple life proves difficult as he contends with these ongoing challenges.
