A woman's child is taken, leaving behind a note that begins with "This is a quiz." The Special Investigation Team's Kaoru Kiriko pursues the case, following a series of riddles that challenge police efforts. As she solves each puzzle, the situation becomes more complex, and she starts to realize the kidnapper is staying one step ahead. What initially appears to be a straightforward investigation turns into a dangerous game, with Kaoru shifting from investigator to target.
