In the year 2061, a new information network known as the Material Network, or "Metal," dominates society. As issues arise from people resisting its strict structure, investigators called "cyber divers" are sent to look into these disturbances. The team includes Mari, a cyber driver, Minamo, a girl with intuitive abilities, Eiichirō, the team leader, Sōta, a combat specialist, and Horon, an android.
