Motoba Hitachi experiences a monotonous high school routine until a younger classmate invites him to participate in a real-life simulation of Incubate Castle, an online game they both play. The event initially appears to be a simple game reenactment but quickly becomes a dangerous reality. Trapped in a world where the game's dangers are real, Hitachi must seek out allies to increase his chances of survival and escape.
