Red: Saigo no 60-nichi Soshite Asama Sansou e
レッド 最後の60日 そしてあさま山荘へ
In 1971, the Red Army and the League of Revolutionaries combined to create the Red League, with the goal of advancing revolution in Japan. They established a base in the mountains where members convened. Instead of engaging in revolutionary activities, they conducted sessions of self-criticism and discussion of past actions, referred to as "summaries." These sessions increasingly turned violent as participants became drained by the process of refining their ideological stances. The nature of the discussions and the consequences for the isolated movement remain central to the narrative. Naoki Yamamoto presents a detached account of the 60 days preceding the "Asama Sanso" incident.
