Senji Touya is determined to discover his talent and tries numerous activities, but consistently falls short. His classmate Haito, who rarely attends school, is someone he admires for possessing natural ability. Senji later learns that Haito not only has talent but acquired it from her past life. Individuals who obtain abilities from their previous lives are referred to as "Returners."
