A high school student named Shibata Youichi meets a mysterious girl who knows his name and reveals herself as an alien. She asks for his help to save her people. However, Youichi soon discovers that the situation is not what it seemed. The girl, Kyara, is indeed from another world, but her mission is not what he expected. Her people are fascinated by Japanese manga, anime, and game culture. They plan to use Youichi's home as a base and his reactions to assess how appealing their heroines are.
