Lofus Ray Lightless is not a model of goodness and takes pleasure in his misdeeds. After experiencing a vivid dream showing various ways he will die, he decides to alter his behavior, or at least appear to do so. Accompanied by his loyal butler, he attempts to reshape his destiny in order to live a long, self-serving life. However, the future he encounters differs from what he anticipated, and he may have taken on more than he can handle.
