Ringo no Ki wo Ueru

Mii was close friends with Mayuka since childhood, but in their third year of high school, Mayuka died in a bus accident. She never explained why she had taken a bus that wasn't part of her usual routine. Years later, now a university student, Mii moves into a new home and meets her neighbor Maki, who appears to know something about Mayuka that others do not. As Mii and Maki interact, details about the circumstances of Mayuka's death gradually come to light.
