A high school sophomore named Yuuichi is unexpectedly forced into an arranged marriage due to his parents' situation. His bride is Yuuka, a classmate he considers plain. Yuuichi, who has no interest in real-life girls after a traumatic experience in middle school, is only drawn to fictional characters. Yuuka, however, surprises him by being an otaku who enjoys animated characters and is eager to bond with him. She is affectionate and tries to close the distance between them. Yuuka also reveals a personal secret: she is the voice actress for one of Yuuichi's favorite characters. Despite his initial disinterest in real girls, Yuuka's genuine and cute side, shown only in private, begins to affect him. The story follows their life as engaged teenagers.
