Following the King's death, the Queen and Crown Prince seek to eliminate the family of the former Queen. To escape this danger, Princess Skw'àh takes refuge in a convent, accompanied by her devoted lady-in-waiting, Flora. Flora makes significant efforts to comfort and support the Princess. Life in the convent, however, proves challenging due to its stark contrast with courtly customs. Over time, the two adapt to their new environment. Yet, their period of relative peace is not destined to endure.
