On her 16th birthday, Melissa, a castle apprentice, aspired to become a lady-in-waiting and work with Captain Hubert, a dragon knight. When she learned of his retirement, she lost her goal. The following day, Captain Hubert proposed an offer for her to accompany him to his home territory, where dragons live, to serve as his dragon-keeper and partner.
