A man named Sumomo intends to end his life at Cape Shide, a place known for suicides. Before doing so, he plans to meet Yoko, a woman he has never seen but who has recently become the manager of the nearby Gilda Inn. His attempt to fulfill this final wish does not proceed as expected.
