The Suzaku and Byakko clans have long been at war over land. Their leaders, Shiranui and Aura, have fought many times, each battle ending in a stalemate. A shrine maiden delivers a prophecy to Shiranui: to prevent the world's destruction, he must marry Aura and have a child with her. The child is said to be the world's savior. Aura, though beautiful, knows nothing about relationships or reproduction.
