A high school teacher named Shigeto Kusunoki and his students are transported to a different world where individuals are ranked by a "Divine Ranking" system. While his students receive powerful abilities and rise in rank, Shigeto is given only basic skills, placing him at the lowest level. This reverses their usual roles, as the teacher now has less power than his students. Using only a single sword, Shigeto begins his journey from the bottom, working to improve his abilities and rise through the ranks.
