Samjangjeon

A monk from a classic journey travels through time to modern-day Korea. She has spent her life battling supernatural creatures, but now faces a new challenge in the form of a single man. Tasked by Buddha with a pilgrimage to the West to retrieve sacred teachings, she and her companions set out on their mission. While her companions seek divine recognition for their efforts, she longs for a simple life among humans. As she is taken to Heaven by Buddha's command, she spots a mysterious passage leading back to the human world and escapes through it, landing on Jeju Island in the Republic of Korea. There, she meets a man named Lee Hyun. The story follows the complicated relationship between the time-traveling monk, known as Hyeon-Jeong, and Lee Hyun.
