Akari Kurono, a high school student living in poverty and relying on simple meals and water, takes a part-time job at a suspicious occult shop. There, she joins Amenpine, the enigmatic manager, and Koyo Meiji, a coworker with a passion for the occult, in an effort to trap the "Dark Nui"—fearsome beings that pose a danger to humanity.
