During the final years of China's Han Dynasty, the imperial court was in decline due to corrupt eunuchs and self-serving relatives influencing the emperor. Government authority weakened as peasant revolts spread across the land. Zhang Jue established the "Way of the Great Peace" and gained enough support to initiate the largest rebellion yet known as the Yellow Turban Rebellion. This marks the beginning of a significant historical period. Liu Bei Xuande emerges as a key figure who forms a bond with Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. Together, they begin efforts to quell the rebellion and restore stability to China.
