A 17-year-old girl named Marimo feels trapped in her dull, small-town existence and longs to leave. She becomes intrigued by a new train station employee, whose presence begins to occupy her mind. Over time, she notices subtle shifts in herself, as if the encounter is altering her in small but noticeable ways.
