Sekai ga Hajimaru Asa ni Umi wo Mito

Ao resides with his father, who struggles with alcohol, in a coastal town. He tries to remain unnoticed in both school and home life, as though holding his breath. On his way home from school, he encounters Minato, who is smoking on the train platform. Despite his blonde hair and piercings, Minato works at a bento shop and is bothered by Ao’s habit of eating convenience store food. He proposes a solution: “Rather than making you a bento daily, comment on my cooking.” The narrative follows these two young men meeting in a seaside town and the unique bond they form.
