A vast technological reactor, the Nāga Generator, is at the center of the Yamata Empire's mission to eliminate all negative karma in the galaxy. Since negative karma cannot be destroyed, only atoned for, the plan risks triggering the formation of the nine-headed Nāga, a being capable of annihilating the world or beyond. A member of the influential Fuze Clan, a mystic Buddhist group, opposes the Empire's efforts and seeks to prevent this catastrophe. To aid in this, the clan invokes Susano, a Shinto deity associated with destruction. Susano, who is powerful, arrogant, and prone to violence, must contend with multiple adversaries, including the Yamata Empire and the clan leader's daughter, Seska. She is a brash sorceress who wields the influence of negative karma and a potent magical formula.
