A young man named Setsuna Sugimoto is summoned to a different world as the 68th hero but is soon discarded because of his poor health. Later, he meets Kyle, an ancient former hero who grants him a new life by passing on his knowledge, strength, and vitality. With this second opportunity, Setsuna becomes an adventurer and meets various individuals, each encounter affecting both him and the world around him.
