In the 13th century, China was split between the southern Song empire, governed by the Han Chinese, and the northern Jin empire, controlled by the Jurchens. A young boy named Guo Jing and a young girl named Huang Rong travel through a world of martial heroes. They experience various challenges and encounters typical of the wuxia tradition.
