Shangri-La

By the middle of the 21st century, global warming has transformed Tokyo into a tropical environment. In response, the city is being redeveloped as Atlas, the world's largest forest city, with the goal of lowering the central urban temperature by 5°C (9°F). Despite efforts to attract new residents, few are able to live in the city, and the project faces resistance from anti-government guerrillas seeking to halt the reforestation efforts.
