Chang Zaikun has had the ability to see "weird" creatures since childhood. Unlike others, he is not afraid of them and feels a strong emotional connection. In high school, he meets a strange administrator who invites him to oversee a "prison" where these creatures are kept. His task also includes locating individuals who have disappeared from society.
