Shiawase desu ka?

Hatoko Haruyama, a junior high student known as Poppo, lives with her mother in an apartment in Shiawase, a community filled with colorful residents. These include Hayato, a ronin; Mizusawa and her father, who hope to become manga artists; and Midori, a single mother. Poppo has feelings for Hayato, though he appears to be interested in someone else. The story is a lighthearted comedy centered around life in the cheerful Shiawase neighborhood.
