After the Norse gods, beginning with Odin, were killed in the war known as Ragnarok, powerful Runes were inherited by humans. A boy named Lost, a survivor of the Norn people, obtained a Rune following a family tragedy and vowed to avenge his murdered relatives. His path is obstructed by the Bifrost, an elite group under the emperor's command who possess the most powerful Runes. The story centers on this boy as events unfold around his fate.
