Shimazu Kyouko Ji Senshuu

Shoko travels with her daughter to visit her mother in the countryside after her husband is sent overseas for work. Shoko feels ashamed of her mother's simple cooking, especially when comparing it to her skillful mother-in-law. Her criticism becomes harsh, creating tension between them. The work is a compilation of brief narratives centered on interpersonal relationships and emotional conflicts.
