In the year 252 M.C., a time when most plant life has vanished and the land is desolate, a deadly illness known as 'Shinigami's flower' has emerged. The condition can be treated if detected early, but if it progresses to the transformation stage, it becomes fatal, leaving extermination as the only option. Handling these cases is the responsibility of 'Gokurakuen,' a national medical organization specializing in treating the illness. Doctor Ichinose Souma leads Mobile Team Unit Class 1, but due to a lack of assigned cases, he and his assistant Hina frequently take on tasks outside their class's jurisdiction, leading to complications.
