Hizaki Shiou was summoned to another world during his third year of middle school to save it, defeating the Demon King before being sent back. Three years later, he is summoned again to stop the secret society "Helheim," which he now learns he founded during a phase where he called himself the "Corpse King." The group's reputation is being ruined by someone using the name "Helheim." To clear it, Shiou reunites with his former subordinates, the "Hakkai," who once helped make Helheim powerful. As he deals with the embarrassment of his past, he sets out to the Steel City of Gagiul to aid a city suffering from famine and rescue a pale count's daughter.
