A protagonist who was once a saint is betrayed by a fellow apprentice and her fiancé, a hero, before being consumed by a large plant monster. Instead of dying, she is reborn as the creature, now possessing a human upper body and a plant lower body, identified as an Alraune. She attempts to lead a quiet life as a plant, focusing on photosynthesis, but finds that peace is often disrupted.
