In a run-down all-girls dormitory, Yachiko, a girl who has fled her home, encounters Giko, a ghost who refers to himself as the "crevice ghost." Giko's purpose is to watch and spy on girls in order to understand their mysteries. He records his observations in a book he calls the "Girls Dictionary."
