A boy named Kabuki Takitsugu possesses the ability to detect the scents people emit and uses this talent to pair individuals with compatible partners. His usual method is disrupted when he encounters a girl named Hatsune, who emits no scent whatsoever. Despite the apparent impossibility of his usual approach, he agrees to help her find a match.
