A conflict is occurring between opposing sorcerer factions. The most dangerous of these, the Necromancers, are murdering young girls in Hong Kong to divine the future from their organs. Carno, a human who was raised by Aeromancers in an alternate dimension, is called back to his original world to participate in the struggle. The question remains whether Carno can endure in a realm marked by shifting political connections and complex personal relationships.
