Shussebana

A young girl named Oen is raised at Saisenji Temple, a place where funeral ceremonies take place. Although her circumstances are unusual, she grows with courage. Adapted from a historical novel by Kaoru Takada, the story portrays an Edo-period funeral attendant called "Sanmai Hijiri," offering insight into traditional Japanese perspectives on life and death.
